Joey Coulter looking to continue success at Talladega

Joey's Truck

WINFIELD, K.S. (October 3, 2012) – The Husky Liners® brand will serve as the primary sponsor of Richard Childress Racing's No. 22 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team driven by Joey Coulter at the Talladega Superspeedway on October 6. Coulter, currently in his second year of competition in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, earned Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in 2011.

Joey Coulter is hoping to continue his streak this weekend at Talladega.  He has already solidified the pole position in his last two races, and the No. 22 Chevrolet driver is looking to add another career win to his successful year.

“I’m really excited to have Husky Liners® on board for the race at Talladega Superspeedway,” said Coulter, driver of the No. 22 Chevrolet. “They have great products and it’s an honor to be able to represent a company like Husky Liners®. I hope we can score a win together.”

Husky Liners®, which sells mud guards for trucks, as well as car mats, offered an all-expense paid trip to Talladega, Alabama for the race, which will include airfare, hotel and transportation as a part of the Husky Liners® Ultimate Race Weekend Sweepstakes.

The sweepstakes winners will also get the chance to meet and have their photo taken with Joey Coulter, and receive VIP access that will include behind the scene tours and use of team facilities. The two winners chosen for the trip are Rich from Tulsa and Scott from RealTrucks.com.

“Teaming up with RCR in NASCAR racing has been an honor and we are excited to provide the chance for our customers and retailers to join us in a VIP experience at the track in Talladega,” said Bob Tyler, president of Winfield Consumer Products, Husky Liners®. “It is truly a once in a lifetime experience.”

Catch the race on the Speed Channel at 3:00pm CST on Saturday, October 6.  The new Husky Liners® National Commercial featuring Richard Childress will air during the race.

Husky Liners®, founded by Bob Tyler in 1988 is among today’s most successful automotive accessory companies. Tyler’s love for hunting and fishing sparked his interest to develop the original custom fit cargo liner which has now expanded into a line of various items including custom fit Front and Back Seat Floor Liners, Heavy Duty Floor Mats, Custom Molded Mud Guards, Aluminum Tailgates and Contractor Racks, Husky Gear Box® Under Seat Storage Systems, Husky Shield® paint and headlight protection film, Husky Quad Caps™ Bed Rail Caps and a variety of other products to serve the automotive aftermarket. In the last 20 years, Husky Liners has grown to a 197,000 sq. foot manufacturing and distribution operation and has become one of the automotive aftermarket's leading sources for custom fit floor and cargo liners as well as many other automotive aftermarket accessories.

Hunting Time: Protect Your Truck with Custom Floor Mats and Mud Flaps

Deer Hunting with Husky Liners

In honor of National Hunting and Fishing Day on Saturday, September 22, 2012 , the team at Husky Liners® thought it was the perfect time to share the following story:

At Husky Liners®, we are passionate about hunting and fishing.  In fact, it is the love of the sport that started this company.  Bob Tyler has always had love for hunting and fishing. However, the mess caused by a long day of trudging through mud and snow with his lab was taking a toll on his SUV. He wanted something washable that he could place in the cargo area of his SUV and protect his vehicle's carpet... and when he couldn't find one, he decided to make one.

And so, in 1988, Bob Tyler designed the original custom fit cargo liner and set in motion one of today's most successful automotive accessory companies, Husky Liners®. The success of the cargo liner spawned many new innovations based on vehicle specific custom fit protection. Husky Liners® expanded its brand to include Custom Fit Front and Back Seat Floor Liners, Heavy Duty Floor Mats, Custom Molded Mud Guards, Aluminum Tailgates and Contractor Racks, Gear Box® Under Seat Storage Boxes, Husky Shield® Paint and Head Light Protection Film, Quad Caps™ Bed Rail Caps and a variety of other products to serve the automotive aftermarket. In the last 20 years Husky Liners® has grown to a 197,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution operation and become one of the automotive aftermarket's leading sources for custom fit floor and cargo liners as well as many other automotive aftermarket accessories.

Today Winfield Consumer Products, Inc / Husky Liners® is a privately held company, whose primary business consists of designing, manufacturing and supplying automotive accessories for light trucks, SUV's, vans and cars to the aftermarket. Husky Liners® believes that a clean, safe and efficient work environment results in the manufacturing of quality products by employees who care. Husky Liners® controls the entire process of its products, from product design, tooling and manufacturing to warehousing and distribution. Husky Liners® has a strong commitment to quality, customer service, financial strength and the well being of its employees.

Offering quality products and taking care of our customers has always been a top priority. Husky Liners® provides award winning customer service by combining our highly knowledge service staff and engineering teams to give our customers a level of service beyond the norm. Most Husky Liners® products are backed by a lifetime warranty and ship within 48 hours and as always all Husky Liners® products are designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.

Steven Rinella, an avid outdoorsman, author and television host, explains the true love and meaning of hunting best in his recent article, Five Reasons Why Every Day Should Be National Hunting and Fishing Day. He outlines that both hunting and fishing teach us where our food comes from, teaches respect for the land, teaches us how to handle uncertainty and more.

Not only are we avid hunters, many of our customers love to hunt and fish as well.  Below is one of our favorite stories sent in from a loyal customer.

"Hunting can be messy.  I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra Double Cab and before I hated to clean my car after a weekend hunting trip so much that I often left it overnight because I was too tired.  After my fourth detail job to get rid of the stains and smells my hunting equipment left behind, I decided to get some better floor mats. I just needed something to keep my shoes, and what fell off of them, off my carpet.  That’s when I stumbled upon Husky Liners.  I was really impressed with how snug they fit my truck and how good they looked in it.

On the first hunting trip with my new liners I went duck hunting.  We had a pretty successful day and as we started to head back, it started raining. When we finally got to our trucks I quickly threw my shotgun, bird bag, and muddy clothes in the backseat floor and headed home.  When I got home I tried to muster up some energy to start cleaning my truck but ended up falling asleep. In the morning, I took out the liners and noticed that no dirt had gotten on my carpets.  All I had to do was rinse the liners with the hose and throw them back in.  It was so easy.  I was so happy with my liners that I went out and got some Husky Custom Molded Mud Guards to keep the outside of my truck cleaner too."

At Husky Liners®, we were founded on the principles of making life easier and less messy so you can do the things you love without worrying about ruining your vehicle.

So, Happy National Hunting and Fishing Day from Husky Liners® Get out there, Get Dirty and let us worry about the dirt, mud and mess, so you don't have to!

Leave us a comment and tell us your messy hunting and fishing stories.  We would love to hear about what you love to do!

Husky Liners Provides Customer Service on a Sunday

 Husky Liners Happy Customer

We like to make people happy.  In fact, our mission here at Husky Liners® is to meet and where possible exceed customer expectations.  Therefore, our week doesn't end on Friday!  OK, we won't make you read a blog post where all we do is brag about ourselves.  We'll let this recent customer email do the talkin' instead.

Dear Husky Liners,

I just wanted to let you know of a surprising pleasant experience I had dealing with technical support at Husky Liners.

On Sunday Aug 4th, I used your 'Contact Us' link to submit a note that I was having a technical issue ordering some liners for my Tahoe. I already had Husky Liners for the back and cargo area but decided to get some for the front. To my surprise I got a response back very quickly from Steve. I was even more surprised to see that he was an engineering manager. He was looking for some more information on how to reproduce the issue. Long story - short, he had the issue quickly fixed. ... and did I mention that this was all on a Sunday?

Anyway, the reason I'm writing is that I know that its difficult to know if you make a right decision. The desire to save money and off-shore your development team and customer support is powerful. I think it's great that you do it all in house and I, for one, will be a repeat customer. And I'll tell my friends. So, just wanted you to keep up the good work. ... and maybe you should give Steve the afternoon off for working on Sunday. :)

- Thom, 8/15/12

Busy Mom is Happy with Husky Liners

Husky Liners protects from spills

Please enjoy this recent post we received from a very happy mother…

As a mom I have a million messes to worry about. It’s one thing when we are at home; I’m prepared for that. When they are in the car, it’s another story. Vehicle interior is one of the most difficult things for me to clean. It is such a hassle to get under the seat and in all the cracks where my kids’ spills inevitably go.

Husky Liners makes cleaning up their messes so much easier. The raised edges of the liners make it so even my toddler can’t get his messes on the carpet...the Husky Liners cover the entire floor. I just pull them out and rinse them off with no hassle.

The nibs on the back keep the liners in place when my daughter’s soccer team comes rushing in for a ride to the game. The Cargo Liners rubbery finish keep my coolers from tipping over, so the team will always have cold juice pouches after the game and I will have a dry cargo area. On the Husky Liners Facebook page I noticed a picture of the cargo liners hauling a huge pile of landscaping rocks, so I figure my bag of soccer balls and cones is nothing!

My oldest is a swimmer and getting that chlorine smell out of my vehicle’s carpet is so hard after he throws his wet towels on the floor. The Husky Liners catch the towel and stop the water from soaking into the carpet, so with a little rinse I’m good to go. If only I could find something to get that smell off my son…

Thank you for a great product!

Husky Liners® and Patriot Hunts; Spirit to Serve our Wounded Warriors

As Americans we are truly blessed with the abilities and opportunities we have in the USA. Hopefully most of us don’t take our freedoms for granted - our Veterans don’t, the active military members don’t – and Ken & Pam Barnard don’t either. In fact, they support the military in a very special way…through Patriot Hunts.

 Patriot Hunts

Ken & Pam are self proclaimed “military brats.” In fact, Ken was born on the Ft. Bragg military installation – home of the 82nd Airborne Division… Ken is also an avid outdoorsman.

Ken made many trips to Walter Reed Army hospital and visited friends before and after their surgeries. He saw the need to get our wounded warriors involved in the outdoors. Ken’s mission was simple: Introduce every wounded soldier that was interested in the outdoors to the experiences that the outdoors offers – and – to get those that already enjoyed fishing or hunting back to the outdoors. Patriot Hunts was born.

For many of us, Ken & Pam’s mission seems impossible. But not to them – their passion to help our wounded warriors runs strong and deep – what they have seen at Walter Reed fuels their work. Patriot Hunts gives because our soldiers ask for nothing, but have in some cases given everything. The Barnards remind us that we as outdoorsmen have plenty to share with the soldiers. What they do, and what you can help do, allows our wounded soldiers to cope with the injuries they have sustained both physically and mentally.

Patriot Hunts’ Mission: It has become our mission at Patriot Hunts to never give up, to never rest, to never be satisfied, until we all feel we have adequately put forth the effort in trying to provide an outdoor experience for our men and women that have served and sacrificed so much for this nation. Our freedom comes at a price far greater than we can ever repay to these soldiers. So we give back how and when we can...but we give back.

Please visit Patriot Hunts on their website to learn how you or your organization can help Ken and Pam give something special back. Read the heartfelt and heart touching, personal stories from soldiers that have shared in the Patriot Hunt experience.

Please share this article with your friends so they can get involved.

Patriot Hunts’ next scheduled event is September 25th, 2010. 100+ soldiers, kids, and wounded warriors will attend a dove shoot.

"We must never quit…We must never falter…We must never leave a fallen comrade"

Because our Vets and active military personnel do what they do – we can do what we do.
